ECCO Shines a Light on North American Railcar Operators

Over the years ECCO has acquired a vast network of customers, from multi-national automobile manufacturers to Dan Willey, a licensed member of the North American Railcar Operators Association (NARCOA). Dan and his fellow operators are serious about their railcars, their trans-continental adventures, and most of all their safety.

Dan was having some trouble with his 7960 Pulse Series beacon that he installed on his railcar, so he contacted ECCO’s customer support team. Given the vehicle’s unique design and wiring, the problem was atypical and required additional support from a product manager and an engineer. With a tweak here and a resister there, the team developed a solution, which was shipped out to Dan for testing.

In between a few multi-state excursions, Dan installed his modified beacon and he was soon back on track. After logging more than 1,000 rail miles through five states and a Canadian Province, the beacon is working reliably and efficiently.

Last we heard, Dan and his fellow operators are safely coasting along the rails of New England. With their beacons blazing, the railcar caravan will be visible day or night and across any landscape they explore.

Here at ECCO, supporting our customers is a top priority and if you encounter any difficulty with a product or installation, we will work with you to understand the situation, enlist our team of experts and keep you updated every step of the way. We will find a solution together and get you back out on the road, floor, trails, or even rails in no time.
