ECCO Rises in the Ranks: Idaho’s Top Private Companies in 2020 Revealed
Protecting people and leading towards recovery
This year’s Idaho Private 100 (IP100) theme is “resilience in unparalleled times” and few manufacturers demonstrate that more than the ECCO Safety Group. In a tough year with an ongoing health crisis, social upheaval and economic uncertainty, ESG was recently recognized as an organization that has not only weathered these storms but continues to grow and succeed.
Each year, the Idaho Statesman surveys privately held companies around the state to gauge year-over-year growth and overall organizational health. ESG improved from 2019, moving up to 33 from 34 in the Top 100 ranking. Revenue growth drove progress this year but given the challenges of 2020, fiscal health was just one factor.
“ECCO Safety Group’s biggest strength is our people,” commented President and CEO Doug Phillips on ESG’s resiliency this year. ESG exists to protect people, whether they are first responders, construction workers, the general public or its employees. The organization doubled down on its commitment to keep people safe in 2020. “It’s times like these where our great teammates around the world really shine,” Phillips added.
Earlier this year, ESG adapted its operations to confront the pandemic and a statewide lockdown while avoiding disruptions in production and customer support services. ESG continues to take a host of precautionary measures to ensure the safety of its employees including work-from-home arrangements, social distancing, increased digital communications, modified workstations and limiting travel. “ESG’s team culture allows us to work together and remain 100% operational around the world with zero COVID-related layoffs,” concluded Phillips.
Through it all, ESG has consistently delivered performance-optimized lighting and warning products backed by industry-leading customer service. From our people to our hard-working customers, we will overcome the monumental challenges of 2020 to reinforce Idaho’s growth and contribute to a broad-based economic recovery.
