ECCO Kick-Starts New "See Lights. Slow Down. Move Over." Campaign

ECCO Kick-Starts New "See Lights. Slow Down. Move Over." Campaign

They have a tough job and work under dangerous conditions. Let’s do our part to keep first responders and roadside operators safe.

If you see flashing lights or an emergency vehicle pulled over to the side of the road, slow down and move over to give emergency responders enough room to perform their duties. A few extra feet can make all the difference. Let’s make sure they get home safely at the end of another shift.

According to several national safety organizations and government agencies, 15 to 20 police officers and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) are killed along the roadway each year. Although not officially tracked, it is estimated that a dozen or more tow truck operators are victims of fatal roadside incidents as well. All fifty states and most Canadian provinces have enacted “move over” laws as a result of these unfortunate, yet preventable losses of life. Although the legislation varies, the message is the same. See Lights. Slow Down. Move Over.

Keeping officers and operators safe is our top priority. When you are on site, doing your job, ECCO’s® line of field-tested systems and reliable products will ensure that you are seen and heard.
